Remembering Mark Today

I was moving around some of our wedding pictures today and thought about your brother, Mark, who was one of our groomsman and a reader at our wedding nearly 10 years ago. He was a great friend to my husband, Michael, who when he worked at Fort Myer visited him often and always left for him a miniature bottle of Knob Hill bourbon. I'm not sure what they do with it but whenever he or we visit we visit we leave him some.
Michael was also in Iraq when Mark was killed. At about that time there was an earthquake in Hawaii where I was living with our children. I knew that something momentous had happened to someone I knew at that time.
As long as anyone of us who knew your brother is alive, his memory will be as well. Your brother made a significant impact on my family and friends with whom he spent only one weekend in early December 2000. Whenever people remember our wedding, he is always remembered as well as a wonderful young man who made a positive impact on everyone.
